Arsenal’s Swiss centreback Johan Djourou has been talking about his hopes for the future and one of them is to remain on Hannover where he is currently on loan.
Speaking to Neue Presse Hannover, Djourou said
“It would be fantastic if the clubs could agree on a deal.
“I have been granted the chance to play here and I am getting better and better and slowly finding my old form.
“It is a difficult situation since I still have two years left on my contract in London.”
The newspaper claimed that they believed Arsenal would be willing to let the player go for around €4m although they do not think that would be a fee which would be agreeable to the Bundesliga side.
The loan deal which saw Djourou travel to Germany does not include an option to buy and Wenger has previously stated his admiration for the player but he would be reluctant to force him to stay at Arsenal should the player himself be determined to move permanently.
